Employer paid occurrence-based malpractice insuranceUPMC Hamot in Erie, Pennsylvania is seeking a full-time Nocturnist Intensivist to join its hospital-based adult critical care practice. This is a valuable opportunity to work in a high-acuity regional referral center delivering advanced, team-based care to critically ill patients in northwest Pennsylvania. Our vision is to create a world-class regional center of excellence for the care of critically ill patients at UPMC Hamot.•

Join a team of dynamic critical care providers dedicated to patient care and evidence-based practice.•

Each night shift is staffed by one physician and two highly trained Advanced Practice Providers, with several nights also supported by a swing shift physician.•

64-bed critical care tower equipped with advanced technology and designed for optimal patient monitoring and staff efficiency.•

Average admission at night is six patients•

Availability of point of care ultrasound, videolaryngoscopy, bedside bronchoscopy, easy access to prone positioning. Ability to initiate ECMO followed by transfer to quaternary center.•

Modern radiology suite with 3T MRI and patient-centered layout.•

Opportunity to teach emergency medicine and neurology residents•

All ICUs are Beacon Units (Silver and gold)•

Comprehensive Cardiac Center and Comprehensive Stroke CenterQualifications:

MD/DO from an accredited medical school•

Accredited Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine Residency Program completion•

Accredited Critical Care Fellowship Program completion•

Open to recent fellowship-trained physicians•

American Board Eligible or American Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine•

Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and ability to obtain necessary credentials•
