SummaryJob Summary:Serves as the Family Practice Physician for the community health center, providing general diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic services in an ambulatory clinic setting. Acts as Medical Director in their absence and may be assigned special projects to support clinic success and quality care.Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive primary care including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.
• Ensure continuity of care and collaborate with clinical staff.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Refer patients to specialists or external facilities as needed.
• Participate in screening programs and data collection.
• Assist with chart reviews and compliance monitoring.
• Support the Medical Director with clinical guidance and special projects.Specialty: Family PracticeLicensure:
• Permanent, current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in New Mexico
• Current DEA license for medication dispensing
• Valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver's LicenseSetting:Ambulatory Clinic within the Pueblo of Sandia Health CenterSchedule:
• Full-time; may include extended hours, evenings, and weekends
• All ages including pediatrics, OB/GYN, geriatrics, and urgent careSupport Staff:Collaborate with nurses, primary care team members, and administrative staffCertifications:
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Practice or Urgent Care Medicine (certification required within 6 months if eligible)
• Current CPR certificationQualifications & Requirements:
• Ability to assess and deliver quality patient care
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of Native American cultural and social backgrounds
• Ability to work with confidential materials and maintain patient trustMinimum Education:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited medical school

• 10 years of medical experience in outpatient family medical clinic settingsPreferred Experience:
