Title: Treatment Coordinator

Practice: Midwest Oral Maxillofacial & Implant Surgery

Locations: Chesterfield, Missouri

Hours: M, T & Th, F 7:30am -4pm. Half Day Wed 7:30am – 12pm.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and collaborating with multiple teams and providers. As a float team member, you’ll support multiple locations, with travel compensation provided (paid monthly). A tentative schedule will be shared one week in advance to support planning and visibility.Position Purpose:The Treatment Coordinator plays a vital role in managing patient care treatment plans and ensuring that patients understand and proceed with their recommended treatment. This position involves patient interaction, detailed communication, and administrative support to facilitate smooth and effective patient care from diagnosis through treatment completion.Essential FunctionsPatient Consultation and Education:• Meet with patients to discuss their treatment plans as outlined by the surgeon.• Explain treatment procedures, potential outcomes, and financial obligations.• Answer patient questions and address concerns about their treatment options and plans.• Provide educational materials and resources to help patients understand their treatment.• Follow-up calls to patients that did not schedule and work to remove roadblocks to get treatment completed. Treatment Plan Coordination:• Coordinate the scheduling of treatments, surgeries, and follow-up appointments.• Ensure that all necessary pre-treatment steps, such as lab work or imaging, are completed.• Monitor patient progress and follow up to ensure adherence to treatment plans.• Adjust treatment schedules as needed in response to patient needs or surgeonFinancial Coordination:• Discuss treatment costs with patients and provide detailed estimates.• Review insurance coverage and assist patients with understanding their benefits.• Coordinate with the billing department to manage insurance claims and payments.• Develop and discuss payment plans for patients who require financial assistance.Administrative Duties:• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.• Prepare and manage treatment-related documentation.• Communicate effectively with clinical and front office team members to ensure seamless patient care.• Handle patient communication, including appointment reminders and follow-up calls.• Other duties as assigned by the practice administrator.Compliance and Confidentiality:• Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and privacy laws, including HIPAA.• Maintain patient confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive information.• Follow clinic policies and procedures to maintain compliance with healthcare standards.QualificationsEducation:• High school diploma or equivalency, required.Experience:• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in treatment coordination or patient care roles, is highly desirable.• Full understanding of surgical guide treatment from patient consultation to execution.• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in healthcare.Performance Requirements:• Approachable, professional demeanor• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Detail-oriented and thorough in task execution.• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other office software.• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices.• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with professionalism.• Empathetic and patient-focused approach to care coordination.• Independent decision-making skills and utilization of sound judgement.What we do for you:•We offer Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance plans to our full-time employees.•Two out of the three medical plans offered include Health Savings Account (HSA) eligibility.•Company-paid Life, AD&D and Long-Term Disability coverage.•Additional Voluntary Life and AD&D Insurance for you and your family!•Voluntary Short-Term Disability Insurance available to you as well•Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) offered.•Immediately begin saving for retirement through our 401(k) starting with very first paycheck!•Employer 401(k) contribution and Profit Sharing after six months of employment•PTO and 8 Paid holidays for fulltime employees!DISCLAIMERThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by people assigned to this work.
