About this role

The SOX Audit Data Governance Lead designs and governs SOX-compliant controls that ensure financial data completeness, reconciliation, and integrity across the end-to-end data pipeline, from ingestion through SAP General Ledger (GL) posting. This role serves as the control authority bridging Engineering, Finance, and Audit, translating distributed data behaviors into deterministic, auditable controls that prevent incomplete or inconsistent data from impacting financial reporting. Key Responsibilities

+ Design and govern reconciliation controls across agent ingestion, Bronze data layers, and control manifests.

+ Define and maintain data completeness certification logic used by downstream finance systems.

+ Co-own SAP GL posting gates that block uncertified or partial datasets, with controlled overrides and audit trails.

+ Act as SOX control owner for financial data ingestion, producing audit narratives, evidence, and traceability.

+ Partner with Engineering, Finance, Risk, and Audit to embed control-by-design and align architecture with audit expectations. Qualifications

+ 7+ years of experience in SOX controls, financial data governance, or audit

+ Strong understanding of distributed data pipelines and reconciliation controls

+ Proven ability to translate technical system states into auditable control logic

+ Excellent cross-functional communication and audit defense skills

+ FinOps Certified Practitioner or Professional (preferred) Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Chandler, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70.24

- $70.24/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
