About this role
Livoti's Old World Market is a family run and operated gourmet Italian market founded in 2010 and led by second-generation Italian-American John Livoti. Livoti's has become a staple of Monmouth and Ocean County with stores in Aberdeen (1077 Route 34), Marlboro (160 Highway 9, Englishtown), Middletown (1151 Route 35), Freehold (200 Mounts Corner Dr) and Brick, each open seven days a week from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with a deli, bakery, meat, seafood, produce, prepared foods and catering.
What you will do:
- Deli: slice meats and cheeses to order, prepare sandwiches and platters, keep the counter stocked and spotless (deli counter requires age 18 or older)
- Cashier / Front End: ring sales accurately, bag orders, handle cash and cards, and send every customer out happy
- Grocery / Dairy stock: receive deliveries, stock shelves and coolers, rotate product, keep aisles faced and clean
- Pitch in across departments during holiday and weekend rushes
What we look for:
- Minimum age 16 with working papers (18 or older for the deli counter)
- Flexibility for weekends and holidays, which are a big part of the job at a busy market
- Friendly, reliable, hard working and excited to work at Livoti's
- Prior grocery, deli or food service experience is welcome but not required
Schedules and pay:
Part time and full time schedules across morning, midday and evening shifts, seven days a week. Pay is discussed at the interview.
Other departments hiring: bakery, meat, produce, seafood, kitchen, catering and delivery driver.
We are hiring at the Monmouth County Job Fair on September 16 at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft.
