About this role

Front Desk Clerk Air Force Transition Assistance Program (TAP) (Hanscom AFB, MA)

We are looking for a Front Desk Clerk to perform data entry, customer service and admin/clerical duties related to the congressionally mandated Transition Assistance Program (TAP).

This is a 5-year contract 40 hours/week onsite (8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday) at Hanscom AFB, MA.

This is a W2 role with Stage 4 Solutions. Health benefits and 401K are offered.

Responsibilities:• Receive telephone calls and greet visitors at the Military and Family Readiness Center (M&FRC), determine the nature of the inquiry, and direct clients to the appropriate staff member.

• Schedule clients for M&FRC classes and workshops, providing clear information on routine or procedural issues.

• Provide reception and front desk services, ensuring the area is orderly by aligning chairs and materials daily and reporting any inoperable equipment to M&FRC management.

• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in web-based systems including the Air Force Family Integrated Result Statistical Tracking (AFFIRST) and Department of Defense Transition Assistance Program (TAP) systems.

• Input all TAP-related data into AFFIRST, including scheduling clients for workshops and sending reminder emails one week prior to class start, or as directed by program managers.

• Ensure all clients fully sign in and generate a monthly client usage report in the format specified by M&FRC management.

• Maintain current knowledge of AFFIRST functions and input requirements to ensure accurate and timely data entry.

Requirements:• 1+ year experience in a customer service/admin/clerical role in a government setting, military preferred

• Must have an understanding of military protocol, support group organizations, family systems in a military setting, and possess the ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse population.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail

MUST be a US citizen and able to pass a government background check to obtain a Common Access Card.
