The Team: The U.S. Structured Credit

- CLO Ratings team is part of the broader Structured Finance Group at S&P Global Ratings. The team assigns and monitors credit ratings for securitizations backed by broadly syndicated or middle market corporate loans, providing critical market infrastructure that supports global capital markets.


The Impact: As a Senior Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our CLO ratings process. Your analytical expertise and attention to detail will directly contribute to S&P Global's reputation as a leading credit rating agency, while your work supports informed investment decisions across global financial markets.

Responsibilities:

+ Conduct detailed reviews of legal and operating documents to ensure compliance with criteria and identify issues with the transaction structure

+ Actively manage relationships with issuers, intermediaries, and investors

+ Effectively communicate S&P's methodologies and procedures

+ Participate in client meetings

+ Demonstrate strong knowledge of ratings criteria and cash flow analysis

+ Work on special projects as directed by the analytical team manager

+ Demonstrate accountability for work quality and outcomes, taking ownership of assigned transactions and deliverables

+ Collaborate effectively across teams and functions, sharing knowledge and supporting collective goals

+ Apply analytical thinking to complex problems, using data and evidence to support recommendations

+ Adapt to changing market conditions and regulatory requirements while maintaining high standards

+ All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week


What We're Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications:

+ An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 2-5 years of relevant work experience in Structured Finance (CLO, ABS, MBS, etc.) or related financial services roles

+ Bachelor's degree required, preferably in finance, economics, or related field

+ Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Strong analytical mindset with ability to synthesize complex information and draw meaningful conclusions

+ Demonstrated accountability and ownership in previous roles, with track record of delivering quality work

+ Collaborative approach with ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

+ We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer


Additional Preferred Qualifications:

+ Master's degree or CFA designation

+ Experience with cash flow modeling and financial market analysis

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail

+ Project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines

+ Experience adapting to regulatory changes or evolving market conditions

+ Track record of building effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders


Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates) S&P Global states that the anticipated


range of compensation for this position is $105,000 to $115,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
