Who We Are: Join the Tactical Aerospace Team! Our team designs and develops complex electronics for avionics, airborne, and ground based aerospace systems for the DoW industry. Objectives of this Role: Manage the development, integration, test, document, and manufacture of complex embedded avionics and DoW aerospace systems. Development programs span multiple avionics/aerospace programs and ground base systems. This position is expected to be on-site at the Warner Robins, GA SwRI facility. Will be required to travel to other SwRI sites and customer sites. As a Program Manager, manage various programs through the full product life cycle. Perform typical PM tasks such as: create and manage Integrated Master Schedules, Manage earned value, manage program budgets, manage CDRL’s, present to senior management, and act as the primary interface with customers. The PM is also involved with leading Bid and Proposal efforts and driving business development/marketing efforts. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: Manage small and large programs related to avionics/aerospace and back-shop markets. Manage engineering teams across the various skill sets to develop, document, integrate, and test complex avionics/aerospace systems while managing the schedule, budget, EVMS, CDRL’s, Risk and Opportunities, and customer expectations of the project. Present program status to senior management on a monthly basis, or more if needed. Reports to the Director of Tactical Aerospace and is part of the leadership team. Lead bid and proposal efforts. Perform business development/marketing efforts for assigned areas. Support/lead assigned trade show efforts. Reports to the Director of Tactical Aerospace and is part of the leadership team. Requirements: Requires a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical degree with direct experience working with complex defense avionics electronics development programs. 10+ years: Avionics/aerospace engineering development and/or Program Management experience. 3 years: Experience within a engineering development environment; and 5+ years of experience as a Program Manager in avionics development. Shown experience leading engineering teams from complex development programs through test, production, and deployment. Experience in DOD contract vehicles (such as OTA, IDIQ, etc) Experience managing customer expectations and with customer negotiations. Experience managing subcontracts and their deliveries. Experience in avionics, DoD aerospace, and aerospace complex electronics development projects. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
