You will enjoy career growth, strong relationships with co-workers , strong support from leadership, and fun activities that have ke pt over 1 2% of staff members working at Shepherd for more than 20 years .The Environmental Services Aide, as member of the team, is responsible for maintaining assigned area in a clean and sanitary condition, using proper procedures. Recognizes the importance of positive public relations and carries out assigned duties with this in mind. Continually seeks ways to improve the appearance of the Center.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Terminal cleaning of patient / exam rooms.
• Dust & Wet mopping of floors.
• Cleaning of patient, Nursing and public areas
• Vacuuming
• Removal and disposal of waste from assigned work area.
• Responsible for reporting employee/patient/visitor's injuries or accidents or other safety issues to the supervisor.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION:
• High school or equivalent experience

REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
• None
REQUIRED MINIMUM SKILLS:
• Ability to effectively communicate with patient, family, visitors and staff in the Center.
• Must be flexible and adapt easily to change.
• Basic computer skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Housekeeping experience preferred, preferably in a healthcare setting.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Must be able to bend, twist at the waist, stoop & repetitive activity.
• Walking and standing 35% to 75% of the time spent in activity .
• Able to push and pull frequently.
• Reach above shoulder level or overhead occasionally.
• Must be able to do repetitive work/ action.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Some potential for exposure to blood and body fluids.
• Working with cleaning chemicals.
