Our team is passionate about technology’s role in transforming care delivery and making it more equitable, accessible, efficient, cost-effective and navigable for all.Brief Overview We are seeking a Senior Manager, Data to join our Product Management organization and lead strategy, growth, and execution across our Data portfolio. This role combines hands-on product leadership with direct people management and is ideal for a senior product leader who thrives operating both strategically and tactically.This role is critical to scaling the impact of our data products and translating complex healthcare data into differentiated market-leading solutions. Qualified candidates leverage exceptional market intelligence, technical fluency, and operational excellence to manage all facets of Product Management, from inception through delivery and go-to-market. The Senior Manager, Data will also represent Amwell’s data strategy externally, attending customer meetings and industry conferences to articulate the vision and differentiation behind our investments.The ideal candidate operates with a high degree of autonomy, leads by influence across domains and functions, and mentors Product Managers while contributing to the maturity and scalability of Amwell’s Product Management organizationCore Responsibilities Data Product Strategy & Growtho Own the strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for data products serving Health Plan customers, with accountability for growth, adoption, and measurable business impacto Identify and prioritize opportunities to leverage Health Plan data to deliver actionable insights and analytics, leveraging deep market and product expertise to inform recommendationso Articulate compelling, outcomes-focused value messaging, in partnership with Sales and Marketing organizations· Health Plan Data Leadershipo Act as a subject-matter expert on Health Plan data, including claims, eligibility, provider, pharmacy, risk, quality, and utilization datao Translate payer workflows, incentives, and requirements into clear product requirements and compelling value propositionso Consult on internal, cross-functional initiatives with heavy reliance on Health Plan data· Customer & Market Engagemento Represent data product strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities in customer meetings, executive briefings, and strategic sales conversationso Engage with customers and customer-facing teams to validate product strategy, direction, and build influential customer relationshipso Incorporate direct customer feedback and market insights into ongoing product discovery and roadmap evolution· Player/Coach Leadershipo Operate as a hands-on product leader while directly managing and developing Product Managerso Provide coaching, mentorship, and clear direction to support individual growth and execution excellenceo Set a high bar for product rigor, accountability, and data-driven decision-making within the teaQualifications· 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Data Product Management, or a related role with demonstrated leadership in enterprise software products· Extensive experience working with Health Plan data in a healthcare software or analytics environment with deep fluency in payer data models· Exceptional communicator with strong executive presence and the ability to synthesize complex concepts into a digestible narrative· Proven track record of advocating for the customer and translating needs into successful product solutions· Experience scaling data products from early concept to widespread adoption· Deep knowledge of product development processes and lifecycle management· Strong understanding of healthcare data governance, regulatory requirements, and payer operating modelsDo Well. The actual salary offer will ultimately depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, relevant education, experience, complexity or specialization of talent, and other objective factors. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus based on a combination of company performance and employee performance. Long-term incentive and short-term variable compensation may be offered as part of the compensation package dependent on the role. Some roles may be commission based, in which case the total compensation will be based on a commission and the above range may not be an accurate representation of total compensation.Further, the above range is subject to change based on market demands and operational needs and does not constitute a promise of a particular wage or a guarantee of employment.
