Location: Dallas, Texas**Preferred Residence: Candidates residing in the following areas are strongly preferred: Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Plano, Prosper, Celina, Princeton, Addison, Dallas, Carrollton, and Little Elm.Position Type: This role is fully remote at the start, with plans to transition to a hybrid schedule. Employees will be expected to report to the office approximately 2–3+ days per month, depending on team and business needs.Position Purpose:The accountant is responsible for supporting general accounting operations, financial reporting, and analysis to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This role will work closely with Finance leadership to maintain efficient and standardized accounting processes while supporting a high-growth, multi-entity healthcare organization. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in auditing, experience in healthcare or similar industries, and proficiency in ERP systems.Essential Functions:Accounting & Month-End Close• Execute month-end close activities, including preparation and posting of journal entries• Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are properly supported• Record and reconcile payroll, payroll taxes, and related accruals• Prepare journal entries for non-routine transactions, including acquisitions and adjustments• Maintain supporting schedules and documentation outside of the ERP systemRevenue Cycle & Financial Operations• Monitor revenue cycle activity, including revenue recognition and accounts receivable updates• Investigate and resolve discrepancies within financial data and reporting• Support vendor spend tracking and expense analysis across business unitsFinancial Reporting & Analysis• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) in accordance with GAAP• Perform variance analysis against historical results, budgets, and forecasts, providing detailed explanations• Conduct detailed financial analysis by practice, location, provider, and other key metrics• Assist in the development and reporting of KPIs and operational metricsAudit & Compliance• Support internal and external audit processes, including serving as a key contact for audit requests• Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls• Assist in maintaining documentation to support compliance and audit readinessSystems & Process Improvement• Utilize and support ERP systems, with a preference for Microsoft Dynamics Business Central• Assist with ERP administration and system enhancements• Identify opportunities to improve and automate accounting processes, including payables and cash reconciliation• Support integration and due diligence activities related to acquisitionsQualificationsEducation:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
