POSITION OVERVIEW
The People & Culture Director serves as the organization's senior HR leader, providing strategic direction and operational oversight for all aspects of the human resources function. This role partners closely with executive leadership to develop people strategies that attract, engage, and retain top talent while ensuring compliance with employment laws and HR best practices.
The ideal candidate is an experienced HR executive with expertise in employee relations, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, organizational development, and workforce planning. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide strategic leadership for all human resources functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, compliance, and organizational development.
• Partner with executive leadership to develop workforce strategies, coach leaders, strengthen organizational culture, and support employee engagement and retention.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws while overseeing workplace investigations, policy development, risk management, and HR best practices.
• Lead compensation and benefits programs, including vendor management, annual planning, market analysis, and recommendations that promote competitive and equitable employment practices.
• Drive continuous improvement of HR systems, policies, and processes to enhance operational efficiency, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness.
• Manage departmental initiatives, budgets, and resources while representing the organization with board members, community partners, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred
• Five or more years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience
• SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred
• Extensive knowledge of employment law, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and HR compliance
• Experience leading workplace investigations, coaching leaders, and managing organizational change
• Strong leadership, communication, relationship-building, and strategic planning skills
• Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Nonprofit and/or behavioral health experience strongly preferredCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This full-time opportunity offers a salary of $105,000-$115,000, depending on experience, plus eligibility for a quarterly bonus program.
