Description SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented


Logistician to provide critical program engineering and logistics support for the MK 214 and MK 245 Decoys. This role supports in-service decoy work and spans multiple domains, including engineering, logistics, testing and evaluation, project management, safety, maintenance, and inventory management. The selected candidate will play a vital role in ensuring full life cycle support of passive decoys and compliance with all Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Navy (DON) standards.


Key Responsibilities: The Logistician shall: 1.


Program Engineering and Logistics Support: 2. Develop and implement plans and processes for the maintenance and life cycle management of MK 214 and MK 245 passive decoys. 3. Conduct assessments to ensure fleet readiness and compliance with support requirements. 4.


General Fleet Support: 5. Provide technical assistance for in-service passive decoys, including analyzing safety concerns, performing reliability analysis, and supporting engineering investigations. 6. Address and resolve issues derived from Conventional Ordnance Deficiency Reports (CODRs) or any related fleet decoy failures. 7.


Inventory Management and Maintenance: 8. Oversee inventory management for passive decoys, including round inspections, maintenance planning, and scheduling. 9. Monitor Non-Combat Expenditure Allowance (NCEA) and Non-Nuclear Ordnance Requirements (NNOR) metrics. Provide recommendations to ensure fleet readiness. 10.


Safety and Engineering Support: 11. Conduct safety analyses, engineering investigations, and in-field reliability tests as needed to ensure passive decoy performance. 12. Ensure compliance with all applicable DoD/DON standards and support requirements for fleet operations. 13.


Fleet and Training Coordination: 14. Collaborate with fleet personnel and training sites to ensure sufficient availability of practice cartridges and training support. 15. Evaluate and recommend the utilization of any new decoy advancements and technologies from private industry for Navy surface ships.


Qualifications


Qualifications and Skills:


Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Logistics Management, Engineering, or a related technical field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, engineering support, or project management within a DoD or DON environment.

+ Demonstrated experience supporting life cycle maintenance and inventory of ordnance or similar systems.

+ Familiarity with federal compliance standards, including DoD and DON requirements regarding ordnance, fleet safety, and testing protocols.

+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor and assess technical and safety data.


Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience with Non-Combat Expenditure Allowance (NCEA) and Non-Nuclear Ordnance Requirements (NNOR).

+ Previous work related to MK 214 or MK 245 Decoy systems or similar expendable countermeasure systems.

+ Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and integrate them into existing naval operations.

+ Outstanding ability to communicate and collaborate with fleet personnel, engineers, and program management teams.


Other Essential Skills:

+ Detailed knowledge of inventory management practices and maintenance scheduling.

+ Proficiency in generating technical and safety analyses.

+ Strong organizational and multitasking abilities for handling multiple engineering and logistics tasks.


Work Schedule:

+ This is a


part-time position requiring a commitment of 20 hours per week (50% Level of Effort).
