About this role
Description SAIC is seeking a dynamic and innovative Program Manager (PM) in North Charleston, SC with excellent management and people skills. This position will require technical acumen to oversee a complex, multi-disciplinary engineering program in an innovative, dynamic, and dispersed work environment. Ability to articulate and communicate across all levels of program personnel up to and including senior sponsor executives. As PM for a critical program for various customers, the PM leads and takes ownership of all matters relating to and adherence of all contract requirements including controlling financial and administrative costs, staffing, tracking and delivery of contract deliverables, subcontracting, quality assurance, and other requirements as levied by the sponsor. The program delivers a capability upgrade to Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTV's). Technical oversight includes, working with the program's Program Manager to provide full support
- from requirements to planning to production to fielding. The PM supports the sponsor's goal to improve the capability using innovative, open systems design. The PM oversees compliance with quality standards and contract compliance and is responsible to escalate risks to government lead and SAIC leadership before they become issues. This position provides the opportunity to lead a team that increases the lethality of existing systems and provides critical force protection to the various services.
Responsibilities include:
- Directing efforts of complex teams and methods, including SAIC, Sponsor, and subcontracts at multiple on-prem and remote location.
- Functioning as the primary point of contact with Sponsor and representatives on project issues, engaging team resources as appropriate.
- Driving business and staff development.
- Routinely briefing leadership on program status, milestones, and progress against plan.
- Developing procedures, planning and directing execution of the contractual, technical, multi-disciplinary engineering, programming, maintenance, and administrative for all program activities.
- Manage acquisition and employment of project resources and control financial and administrative aspects of the project.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and fifteen (15) years of experience in managing engineering task.
- Experience with complex technical programs to include design, production, fielding and training.
- Experience managing and balancing prime and subcontract skill mix while ensuring coverage and corporate financial goals are met or exceeded.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

- Demonstrated experience managing programs/teams of a minimum of 100 FTEs or related personnel.
