This includes monitoring patient medication regimens and providing appropriate interventions as well as supporting all aspects of pharmacy operations. Maintains competence and familiarity of all pharmacists in all aspects of the drug therapy management system.Qualifications:Required:•

Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE accredited school required,•

Current NJ Pharmacy License required,•

NJ Board Registration required•

Two years of an accredited pharmacy residency required•

BCOP certification required within 1 year of hire,Preferred:•

Previous hospital experience strongly preferred,Essential Functions:•

Responsible for providing all levels of pharmacy clinical services with specialization in their assigned area. This includes monitoring patient medication regimens and providing appropriate interventions as well as supporting all aspects of pharmacy operations. Provide clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners. Suggests appropriate, cost-effective therapeutic alternatives to medical staff as needed.•

Moves forward the Department of Pharmacy’s clinical practice and impact on patient care at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Support and participate in the goals of the organization's quality improvement, risk management and patient safety program to include but not limited to National Patient Safety Goals, Core Measures and HCAHPS medication related initiatives.•

Serves as a resource to the department in the area of expertise as a resource to the department in the area of expertise by helping ensure drug treatment plans and drug therapies are safe and effective. Participates in drug guideline and order set development. Participates in and assists in conducting educational programs for prescribers, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy residents, students and other health care providers.•

Participates in the Pharmacy Practice Residency program as a preceptor and member of the Residency Advisory Committee.
