Job Goal:The Director of Integrated Services leads the design, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive systems that ensure students with specialized needs receive high-quality, compliant supports. This role oversees the integration of academic, behavioral, attendance, and social-emotional frameworks, ensuring campuses implement structured, data-driven systems of support.As a core leader within the Central Office Department, this Director works in close partnership with the Academic Performance Team, Leadership Development Team, and the RISE (Rapid Instructional Systems Enhancement) Team to align services, accelerate student outcomes, and strengthen campus-level implementation.


Education

• Master’s degree in education, business, leadership, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).


Certification

• Texas Educator Certificate

• Superintendent or Mid-management Certificate


Experience

• Five years teaching experience in a traditional district/charter school

• Three years of experience in campus administration, district central office, and/or three years of ESC level experience

• Experience developing and presenting professional development

• Experience in leading and coordinating multi-department collaborative efforts and aligning work across projects to support the systemic needs of school systems

• Proven track record of District and Campus Turnaround success


Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree

• Superintendent certification

• Experience developing and presenting professional development at state and/or national levels


Special Knowledge and Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of school leadership and administration

• Broad-based knowledge of Texas continuous improvement efforts including state and federal programs, accountability metrics, the Essential Schools Framework (ESF), School Improvement requirements, and Texas Instructional Leadership programming

• Ability to articulate, communicate, and build a clear vision for district systemic transformation including helping district leaders have a clear understanding of services offered, how to access support, and how all support can be integrated and strategically aligned

• Experience and expertise in coaching and providing technical assistance to ESC, campus and/or district leaders

• Knowledge of best practices related to change management, including, but not limited to those practices that impede as well as empower leadership

• Exemplary written and oral communication skills

• Ability to build rapport with both internal and external customers

• Exhibits a growth mindset and is open to receiving job-embedded coaching

• Ability to proactively identify customer needs and take initiative to develop and support areas of need to grow new lines of department business


Major Responsibilities:

• Leads the development, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of all staff and activities provided by the Integrated Services team

• Leads the design and development of the Integrated Services team and service components under the direction of senior leadership.

• Champions the team’s purpose, scope of services, and impact goals for districts/charters, campuses, and leaders.

• Aligns the Integrated Services team’s work with organizational priorities, state frameworks, and school improvement strategies.

• Leads the operationalization of the Integrated Services team’s services across participating LEAs.

• Partner with district and campus leaders to design and strengthen cohesive systems that address academic, behavioral, attendance, and social-emotional needs within an aligned MTSS framework.

• Support LEAs in effectively implementing and aligning services across Special Education, 504, Gifted & Talented, Counseling, CTE, Bilingual, and Migrant Education to ensure equitable access and strong student outcomes.

• Develops and implements performance management tools, routines, templates, and/or trackers to provide guidance on establishing milestones, metrics, and trajectories that help build a common language and understanding on utilizing the elements of performance management for successful program implementation and goal

• Tracks participation, progress, service delivery, and engagement, and ensures accurate, transparent, and on-time reporting and analysis of progress and performance results to internal/external stakeholders through the creation and utilization of dashboards and monthly progress meetings.

• Ensures targeted support and development for department and project staff to continue building internal staff capacity.

• Proactively builds and maintains strong collaborative relationships with other leaders and staff members across the division/center.

• Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of programs supervised and makes recommendations for program revisions as indicated by analysis of collected

• Lead the development and delivery of professional learning, coaching, and tools that build LEA capacity to implement compliant, sustainable, and data-driven service models.

• Directs the design and delivery of professional development, products, and a full-service menu related to services offered through the Integrated Services team.

• Maintains documentation of department activities to meet all internal programmatic and fiscal requirements and all requirements imposed by the Texas Education

• Recommends budgets and assists the Chief Officer in evaluating the effectiveness of the department.

• Provides technical assistance and services as specified by any applicable federal grant that funds this position.


Supervision/Personnel ManagementSupervises all Integrated Services department personnel, including completing evaluations and conducting staff training.


Physical Demands/Environmental Factors/ Mental Demands:Frequent use of standard office equipment; prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting; repetitive hand motions (keyboarding and use of mouse); occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 20 pounds); may work prolonged and irregular hours; occasional statewide travel; work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under pressure.
