Our dedicated and compassionate employees are driven by a common mission: To deliver the cures of tomorrow to the people who need them today.The PGYII resident pharmacist, a licensed professional who supports directors, managers, pharmacy staff, and preceptors in the operational aspects of a department or unit on a round-the-clock basis during training. Alongside rotation-specific tasks, they actively strive to ensure the optimal delivery of pharmaceutical care and services, offering education to peers and other healthcare team members. They also contribute to performance improvement initiatives, either through direct involvement or occasional participation in improvement teams. This role involves supervising, assigning work, coaching, training, and evaluating the performance of PGYI residents and students. Effective collaboration with peers, subordinates, and supervisors is expected of individuals in this position. As a successful candidate, you will: • Ensures that he or she provides services that are accurate, reliable, courteous and timely.• Supports the efforts of all care providers to deliver quality care.• Demonstrates competence appropriate to their role and function in age-specific care.• Promotes the delivery of quality care consistent with the scope of practice of the discipline.• Provides and promotes professional practice standards through education and teaching.• Supports care for a defined group of patients using effective delegation, supervision and decision making skills.• Adhere to all professional and regulatory standards.• Promotes collaboration and teamwork among all members of the healthcare team.• Effectively communicates/educates all customers to meet organizational goals and customer service expectations.• Maintains current knowledge, skills and competencies through involvement in professional continuing education activities.Your qualifications should include: • PharmD degree• PGYI Residency• BLS (through American Heart Association)• Current CA Pharmacy LicenseCity of Hope employees pay is based on the following criteria: work experience, qualifications, and work location.
