Come join the minds that propel Pennoni!Pennoni is currently seeking full-time and part-time AWS Certified Welding Inspectors for fabrication shops that produce bridge and highway products for transportation agencies located in the Chicago, IL; Vincennes, Indiana; Gary, IN; Louisville, KY; St. Louis, MO area: Required experience is consistent with, but not limited to:
• Inspection of welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge beams, drainage structures, and other materials
• Monitoring work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications
• Communicating and meeting with fabricators, clients, and engineers
• Production of daily written shop reports Required Attributes:
• Minimum Education: High School
• Minimum years of experience: 3

AWS Certified Welding Inspector
• Computer Skills: Microsoft windows and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work well independently and with others
• Need reliable transportation Preferred Attributes:
• Experience performing QA/QC of bridge and highway structures fabrication.
• Non-Destructive Testing [NDT] certifications (e.g.: UT, MT, PT,RT).
• AWS D1.1/D1.5 Experience.
• Coating Inspection experience
