Job Title: Plant Controller Cost Manufacturing

Primary Location: Richmond Va 23218 area ideally on site, some flex for Hybrid on as needed basis 1 or 2 days a week work from home

**Position Type: Full time

Compensation Information - $100K - $120K depending on experience **

SUMMARY - Drive financial performance and operational excellence by providing strategic cost leadership, delivering actionable business insights, strengthening financial controls, and partnering with operations to improve profitability and support sustainable growth. Must be proactive, owner of plant financials, true strategic partner to the GM, go-getter and can-do attitude.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

MBA/CPA or other advanced business degree preferred.

Minimum of seven years of progressive finance and accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Experience working with ERP and accounting systems.

Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead comprehensive cost analysis across materials, manufacturing, cost of sales, product development, overhead, and operating expenses, delivering weekly and monthly reporting on gross margin, cost performance, and budget/forecast variances.

Oversee all accounting processes, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.

Partner with operations leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve efficiencies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing sites.

Prepare and consolidate monthly financial results, including P&L analysis.

Develop and maintain product cost standards, annual operating plans, and year-over-year cost change analyses.

Support forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range strategic planning processes.
