Salary:

- $140,000**The anticipated salary range for this position is $135K-$140K, with final compensation based on experience, skills, education, and location.The


Senior Cost Accounting Manager leads the financial analysis of purchased finished goods, manufacturing, and operational processes to drive profitability and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role will focus on cost transparency, operational efficiency, and provide the business with understanding of costs.


Responsibilities+


Cost System Management : Develop, implement, and maintain robust cost accounting systems, policies, and procedures to enhance reporting accuracy.+


Inventory Control : Oversee the accurate valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.+


Financial Analysis & Reporting : Analyze production and purchasing costs, manufacturing variances (labor, overhead, materials), and gross margin results to identify cost-saving opportunities and explanations of changes, support product category reporting related to cost drivers+


Standard Costing : Establish and routinely update standard costs for materials and labor, ensuring they reflect current manufacturing or purchasing realities.+


Business Partnership : Collaborate with Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, and R&D teams to understand cost drivers and support strategic decision-making.+


Budgeting & Forecasting : Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and manufacturing operations. Support annual standards process to include business partner reviews of changes


Requirements+


Education : Bachelor's degree in


Accounting ,


Finance , or a related field. A Master's degree (MBA) or certifications like


CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or


CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are preferred.+


Experience :
