About this role
Role Summary: Oracle Fusion Techno Functional Consultant acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams by combining functional expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERPSCMHCM) with hands on technical capabilities (integrations, reporting, extensions). Responsible for solution design, implementation, configuration, and optimization aligned to business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Functional Responsibilities• Lead requirement gathering workshops with business stakeholders across Finance (GL, AP, AR, FA), SCM (Procurement, Inventory, Order Management), or HCM
• Translate business needs into Oracle Fusion configurations and solution designs
• Configure modules such as: Financials: GL, AP, AR, CM, FA; SCM: Procurement, Inventory, Order Management; HCM (optional based on role)
• Define business process flows, SOPs, and operating models
• Drive fit-gap analysis and recommend optimal solutions using Oracle best practices
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, audit, and regulatory requirements
2. Technical Responsibilities• Design and develop integrations using: OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud), RESTSOAP APIs, FBDIADFdi
• Develop and customize: BI Publisher reports, OTBI dashboards, Smart View reporting
• Work on data migration & conversion: Data mapping, cleansing, validation, Use of FBDIHDL tools
• Perform extensions and personalization: Groovy scripting, Page Composer Application Composer
• Troubleshoot production issues: Analyze logs, interface errors, reconciliation failures
3. Program Delivery Responsibilities• Participate in end to end Oracle Cloud implementation (Design Build Test Deploy Hypercare)
• Support SIT, UAT, and release management
• Collaborate with: Functional SMEs, Technical architects, Third party vendors SI partners
• Ensure adherence to: SLAKPI commitments, Governance and change management frameworks
• Provide post go live support and continuous improvement
4. Stakeholder & Business Engagement• Act as a trusted advisor to business users and IT leadership
• Translate technical constraints into business friendly insights
• Enable digital transformation initiatives (automation, AI, analytics)
• Drive adoption of Oracle standard functionality vs customization
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Skills• 6 12+ years of experience in Oracle ERPSCMHCM
• Strong experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud (mandatory)
• Deep knowledge in at least one domain: Finance, Supply Chain, HCM
• Hands on experience with: OIC integrations, BI Publisher, OTBI, Data migration (FBDIHDL)
Technical Skills• SQL, PLSQL basics
• Experience with: RESTSOAP APIs, Web services integration
• Understanding of: Middleware (OIC, MuleSoft optional), Data models in Fusion
Functional Skills• Strong understanding of: Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P), Record to Report (R2R)
• Knowledge of: Financial controls & compliance, Supply chain operations, KPI frameworks
Soft Skills• Strong stakeholder management and communication
• Ability to operate in client facing consulting environments
• Problem solving mindset with attention to detail
• Experience working in global delivery models
Typical KPIs Success Metrics: % of requirements delivered with standard functionality, Integration success rate defect leakage, UAT pass rate cycle time, Report performance and user adoption, SLA adherence for support tickets, Business outcome alignment (cycle time reduction, cost savings)
