About this role

A rapidly growing Fund Administrator in the US, with a tech-first approach, is looking to add an experience Fund Accounting manager to their ranks. The Fund Accounting Manager will be an integral part of the business by leading client relationships with US-based funds and providing fund accounting support with the assistance of a high-performing offshore team.

The Fund Accounting Manager needs to have an open-ended and closed-ended fund accounting background with at least 6+ years experience. CPA is desirable but not a prerequisite.

This role is 100% remote with preference being based on PST/MST time-zones, CST will also be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES• Oversee fund administration operations across both open-ended and closed-ended private fund structures.• Support alternative investment clients across hedge funds, private credit funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, real estate funds, and digital asset funds.• Review and oversee NAV packages, capital account statements, investor allocations, fee calculations, and financial reporting deliverables.• Assist with fund launches, onboarding, restructurings, liquidations, and operational transitions.• Manage relationships with auditors, tax providers, legal counsel, banking partners, and other external service providers.• Serve as a senior operational contact for a portfolio of U.S.-based fund clients.• Develop strong relationships with fund managers, CFOs, COOs, controllers, and investor relations teams.• Lead recurring client calls, service reviews, and operational meetings.• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members in the U.S. office.• Assist in building a scalable and high-performing U.S. operations function.• Help establish the U.S. client service function as a scalable, high-performing team.REQUIREMENTS• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CFA, or equivalent qualification preferred.• 6+ years of experience in fund administration, fund accounting, or alternative investment operations.• Strong understanding of U.S. fund structures, industry regulations, and investor servicing requirements.• Required experience supporting both:• Open-ended fund structures (hedge funds, hybrid structures, evergreen/private credit vehicles), and• Closed-ended fund structures (private equity, private credit, venture capital, real estate funds)
