The position is responsible for directing sales activities that deliver incremental revenue and gross profit with our Grocery Channel. The Grocery Channel business is important and requires a high level of strategic business planning and data analysis. This position is responsible for $4+ million in net sales revenue.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.• Grow the total net sales of the customers assigned, meeting annual revenue/profit goals of all key NW business initiatives.
• Develop strategic customer business plans (In-Store & On-line), building mutually beneficial partnerships with Grocery Channel customers.
• Develop and drive continuous growth through brand awareness activations, shopper marketing partnerships and conversion tactics on the retailer’s own e-commerce platform.
• Influence Grocery Channel customers at various levels within their organization to ensure premier customer intimacy.
• Participate in strategic planning initiatives to best understand ROI of promotional discounts to drive the most effective and efficient results for both accounts.
• Meet/exceed distribution, shelf placement and pricing goals.
• Analyze sales data and market trends to prepare and present business reviews to customers and/or Nature’s Way Internal teams.
• Create/develop retailer-facing selling presentations, including customer required forms &/or on-line portal submissions.
• Drive sales through marketing programs, research and resolving customer problems, recommending modifications to the product selection, and coordinating sales negotiations.
• Work cross-functionally with key departments to maximize the profitability and productivity of both accounts (including Marketing, Trade Marketing, Category Insights, and Sales Operations)
• Manage expenses within allotted annual budget and completes call and/or reports as required.
• Responsible for investing trade funds effectively to drive incremental product sales through both customers.
• Responsible for building annual sales plan in on-line trade management system and ensuring accurate documentation to manage retailer deductions
• Responsible for managing a collaborative environment with our brokers partners to ensure those partners have the tools needed to represent Nature’s Way brands.
• Develop “top to top” relationships with assigned strategic customers.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and relevant market intelligence to the Consumer Sales Team
QUALIFICATIONS

• Strategic and analytical skills to understand and use syndicated data, internal sales information, and external competitive intelligence.
• Experience using a Trade Promotions Management system for forecasting and trade planning.
• Show personal initiative and demonstrate effective planning and organizational skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook plus the ability to generate, understand and analyze Business Objects reports.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university, plus 5+ years related sales experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Syndicated data experience is a requirement.
TRAVEL
Approximately 25-50% to properly cover accounts and duties as assigned.All benefits are effective on day 1 of employment.
