Military Engagement
Intern to join our Business Development team this summer! The Military Engagement Intern will support outreach and partnership development across the U.S. military community. This role will help expand awareness of services available to active-duty service members, veterans, and military families by building relationships with military service organizations and key installation touch points. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in military partnerships, strategic communications, and mission-driven outreach.This is a remote position based on Eastern Time. Talkspace Headquarters is located in NYC.

Internship Details:

Commitment: 20 hour per week
•
Projects: You'll work on 2-3 key initiatives, with one serving as your final deliverable.

Compensation: Our compensation policy ensures a minimum of $15/hour or the legally required local minimum wage, whichever is greater, to maintain fairness across regions.

Mentorship: You'll be paired with a Talkspace mentor to guide you throughout the program.
What You’ll Do
• Conduct outreach to military service organizations (MSOs), veteran nonprofits, and military support networks
• Help build relationships with military installation leaders, command teams, and community partners
• Support development of communication strategies to increase awareness among military populations
• Draft outreach emails, resource materials, and awareness campaigns
• Research military organizations and maintain a database of partnership contacts
• Assist in preparing materials for command briefings and partner meetings

About You
• Current undergraduate student or recent graduate in Public Policy, Communications, Political Science, International Relations, Nonprofit Management, or related field
• Strong communicator with excellent writing skills
• Organized, proactive, and comfortable conducting research and outreach
• Passion for supporting military service members, veterans, and their families
• Military affiliation (veteran, military family member, ROTC) or familiarity with military culture preferred.
