Description The Manufacturing Engineer will support production operations through process optimization, equipment troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. This individual will work closely with manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance while supporting new product launches and capital investment projects. Analyze manufacturing processes and implement improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, improve quality, and lower operating costs. Lead root cause investigations for equipment failures and production abnormalities, developing effective corrective and preventive actions. Support new product introductions, process validations, and production launches to ensure smooth implementation and operational readiness. Perform capacity planning, time studies, ROI analysis, and capital project support to optimise manufacturing resources and future growth initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on safety improvements, automation opportunities, equipment upgrades, training programmes, and continuous improvement projects. Profile The successful candidate will be a motivated manufacturing professional with strong analytical abilities and a passion for solving complex production challenges. They will possess a solid engineering foundation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while driving measurable improvements. A hands-on approach and eagerness to contribute to operational performance will be essential for success in this role. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably within high-volume metalworking or automotive manufacturing environments. Experience with process improvement, root cause analysis, equipment troubleshooting, and continuous improvement methodologies. Knowledge of CAD software, manufacturing processes, industrial equipment, and PLC programming or troubleshooting is highly desirable. Strong organisational, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
