And we're driven by our Mission to alleviate pain, restore health and extend life for millions of people worldwide.This Engineering Technician role works directly with the Humacao Innovation Roadmap, providing the hands-on execution needed to convert automation concepts into deployable, scalable solutions. The position directly supports CAD drawing development, automation equipment buildout, and PLC electrical/infrastructure documentation, enabling faster prototyping, smoother commissioning, and more reliable implementation of innovative systems. By owning detailed drafting, electrical schematics, and shop-floor infrastructure, the role protects engineering capacity, reduces implementation risk, and improves documentation control in a regulated manufacturing environment. Overall, this role accelerates time-to-value for innovation initiatives, strengthens automation reliability, and is essential to sustaining Humacao's long-term automation and operational excellence strategy.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.+ Provides technical support to engineers to achieve improvements in cycle-time, yield, unit cost, quality, safety and compliance of production and operations processes and products.+ Monitors instruments and equipment and collects operating data, including calibration, inspection, testing and repair activities, to assist in making on-line adjustments to instruments, equipment, or products.+ Analyzes and resolves malfunctions and deviations of instruments and control systems to identify and resolve problems.+ Conducts, analyses and prepares reports using metrics from salvage tracking, trending, reporting and root-cause analyses.+ Maintains process designs to optimize process, equipment and facility use while conforming to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).


Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.Requires high school diploma or equivalent (United States), vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries).


Nice-to-Have Skills+ Experience with


industrial automation platforms (Allen-Bradley, basic ladder logic understanding).+ Familiarity with


electrical CAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or equivalent) for PLC schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.+ Exposure to


automation equipment build, debug, or commissioning in a manufacturing environment.+ Understanding of


industrial controls infrastructure (control panels, I/O wiring, sensors, safety circuits, network layouts).+ Experience supporting


equipment upgrades, retrofits, or automation pilots .+ Knowledge of


change control, drawing revision control, and documentation standards .+ Basic understanding of


robotics, vision systems, or motion control (support level).+ Experience working in


regulated manufacturing environments (medical device, aerospace, pharmaceutical).+ Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with


engineering, maintenance, IT, and operations .+ Interest in


learning and growing within automation and advanced manufacturing technologies .For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
