Ideally, selected candidates will be near a JACOBS U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the "best" candidates.We're looking for an Instrument and Controls Designer?who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients' business. Join us and you'll have the chance to work on projects focused on designing state of the art structures within Advanced Facilities. Become a member of a vibrant, dynamic team that delivers world-class designs for well-known clients around the world.You'll be accountable for developing Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) following ANSI/ISA S5.1 symbology, and panel design including panel layout and wiring diagrams. By joining Jacobs, you'll commit to supporting and engaging with these teams, as we work to build a company like no other.Bring your curiosity, talent for multi-tasking?and collaboration, and extreme organizational skills and we'll help you grow, pursue and fulfill what drives you - so we can make big impacts on the world, together.?Responsibilities:•Work on projects designing state-of-the-art data center, semiconductor, and other manufacturing facilities•Develop 3D models and 2D drawings of industrial facility control systems•Work within global multidisciplinary teams•Manage time efficiently across multiple projectsAssociate Degree in drafting or engineering technologyAt least 2 years of BIM design experience•Experience using BIM360, Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD•Proficiency in Microsoft Suite•Additionally, the ideal candidate will have:•Experience designing data center, semiconductor, and other industrial facilities•Experience in instrumentation and controls•Familiarity with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)•Familiarity with controls, electrical panels and cable tray•Familiarity with instrument placementJacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
