As a Mechanical Engineer I, you will be part of a nimble and innovative team finding creative design solutions to customer problems in both the airborne and ruggedized ground-support spaces. You will work on detailed design and qualification, and production implementation. You will partner with talented systems, electrical, and software engineers in a culture of fast-faced innovation. With an on-site state-of-the-art machine shop dedicated to research and development you will see your designs move from concept to reality in hours instead of months.Responsibilities:- Mechanical detailed component design- Contributing to technical proposals to grow our business- Execute analysis and simulation in thermal design and shock/vibration performance- Understand and execute industry best-practices in model and drawing creation- A hands-on engagement in prototype construction and qualification testingRequirements:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field- 1 year experience in mechanical engineering (internship acceptable)- Proficiency with the use of 3D CAD programs to create solid models, 2D detail and assembly drawings. Experience with Autodesk Inventor is preferred.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Experience with hands on assembly and fabrication- Knowledge of thermal design. Experience with ANSYS/FLUENT is preferred- Knowledge of shock and vibration design.
