About this role
Position OverviewLevin & Nalbandyan, LLP is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and execution-driven HR Generalist with a primary focus on Talent Acquisition to support our continued firm growth.This role will lead full-cycle recruiting across multiple departments while also supporting core HR generalist functions including onboarding, compliance documentation, employee records management, and leave administration support.This is not a transactional recruiting role. The ideal candidate understands workforce planning, hiring metrics, employment law compliance, and building structured talent pipelines in a fast-paced, performance-driven legal environment.This role reports to the Head of People & Operations.Core ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition (Primary Focus – ~60%)• Manage full-cycle recruiting across attorney and non-attorney roles
• Partner with department leaders to define hiring needs and success profiles
• Draft compelling, brand-aligned job descriptions
• Source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referral pipelines, and direct outreach
• Build and maintain proactive candidate pipelines
• Screen candidates for skill, culture, and performance alignment
• Coordinate interview process and stakeholder communication
• Lead offer process and compensation coordination
• Track hiring metrics (time-to-fill, source-of-hire, acceptance rate)
• Maintain ATS accuracy and reporting
• Develop employer branding initiativesHR Generalist Support (~40%)• Support onboarding process (offer letters, new hire documentation, I-9 coordination)
• Maintain personnel files and compliance documentation
• Assist with benefits enrollment coordination
• Support leave administration (FMLA, CFRA, disability coordination)
• Assist with policy acknowledgment tracking
• Support performance review documentation process
• Maintain confidentiality of employee records
• Assist with termination documentation and offboarding coordinationQualifications• 3–6+ years of experience in recruiting or HR generalist role
• Experience recruiting in professional services, legal, or high-performance environments strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of California employment laws
• Experience using ATS systems and LinkedIn Recruiter
• Strong written communication skills
• High attention to detail and organizational discipline
• Ability to manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously
• Strong judgment and professionalismPreferred:
• Experience in plaintiff-side law firm recruiting
• HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR)
