About this role
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing the process for installations, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, adjustment and overhaul of a wide range of branch equipment and systems. Experience applying technical engineering principles, advanced management principles, practices, theories, methods, techniques, and skill in integrating management services. Experience conducting direct fleet support, functional checks, analysis of system, component casualties, and malfunctions through knowledge in electronic, electrical, and mechanical aspects of branch systems and equipment. Experience analyzing findings and developing recommendations in the adjustment of program plans, objectives, and resourcing to accommodate changes. Major Duties:
- You will plan work to be accomplished, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares work completion schedules.
- You will provide feedback, advice, counsel, and instruction on work and administrative matters to subordinates performing non-professional duties.
- You will develop staffing plans to address prioritized capacity and capability needs.
- You will oversee the technical operations and management of systems and equipment related to hydraulics and ship controls.
- You will monitor and oversee the work of MARMC Subject matter experts in the troubleshooting and repair equipment
- You will provide technical review of products and services provided by the branch to ensure their technical and political suitability and serviceability is aligned with the customer's needs and the technical standards applicable for Naval vessels.
- You will collect, track, and monitor system performance outcomes associated with system assessments and inspections for the purpose of gathering system performance data and identifying chronic system issues.
