About this role

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintain hardware and software including all associated distribution, routing, and switching capabilities to include data center and distribution room infrastructures; 2) Manages the development of a formal written project plan that includes a plan of action and milestones, scope and effect statements, coordination and integration efforts; 3) Assign duties to best meet organizational needs while fostering employee career development; and 4) Ensures application of information security, information assurance, and administration policies, principles, and practices adhere to the network administration process. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties: - You will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and operation of the comprehensive IT infrastructure that supports academic programs, professional training, and administrative functions at USNA. - You will provide technical leadership for and advise IT management on prototyping, development, implementation, administration, etc. of all centralized and distributed IT network resources. - You will manage all aspects of projects from inception to successful completion. - You will provide supervisory oversight for personnel tasked with network administration projects, as well as the ongoing operations and maintenance of USNA IT systems.
