About this role

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing, and executing work controls and testing related to shipyard, submarine or surface ship maintenance AND providing expertise and advice on non-nuclear system testing and work control program functions to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. https://www.cpf.navy.mil/About-Us/Organization/Total-Fleet-Force-Manpower-Personnel/Equal-Employment-Opportunity-Program/ Major Duties: - You will review availability work packages, formulates integrated test schedules, and recommend additional tests or changes to test parameters to meet technical and operational requirements and safety integrity. - You will prepare and certify test procedures to ensure all shipyard responsible items have been tested and the test results are satisfactory. - You will certify completed testing and reports deficiencies for timely resolution to ensure all work is completed satisfactorily or documented. - You will coordinate and lead all assigned testing and coordinates efforts with shops and ships force in accomplishing the test. - You will provide support and direction on the non-nuclear Work Control Program utilizing established procedures which include Work Authorization Forms WAFs and tag-outs to ensure safe testing, maintenance and operation.
