Supervisory Management Analyst

Specialized Experience: Specialized experience for the GS-15 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-14 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position, and which has equipped the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Develop processes, policies and strategic planning for management systems and programs; AND Managing and conducting management studies and reviews, and providing leadership of an administrative staff of analysts who are involved in conducting in-depth evaluations which include the analysis of management programs and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations; AND Planning work to be accomplished by a staff of employees (i.e., establishing goals, priorities, or schedules for work completion) The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment. The Office of Housing Operations supports the infrastructure for the Office of Housing. Housing Operations provides resources and services that are essential for Housing's program offices to meet the goals, objectives, and mission of the Federal Housing Administration (FHA). Housing Operations also acts as the principal advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner and the General Deputy Assistant Secretary for Housing-Deputy Federal Housing Commissioner, taking a leadership role on various Housing matters. As a Supervisory Management Analyst, you will: Provide technical advice to all Housing field managers and employees to ensure that organizational infrastructures, policies, processes, and procedures are most effective. Conduct analytical studies, such as analyses of the impact of anticipated and actual changes in field staffing patterns on immediate and long-range planning. Evaluate processes and performance of single family and multifamily field offices and monitors and evaluates their implementation of management plan. Oversee the preparation of new handbooks, revision of existing handbooks, preparation of regulations, notices, and other official communications. Manage the Departmental clearance process for all Housing issuances and regulations.
