About this role
Job Title: Aerospace Electrical Engineer
Client: Firefly
Location: Onsite in Leander, TX
Contract: 6 months + (Potential for extension)
OPT EAD will work as long as they have at least a year left.
Job Summary (2 Years of Related Experience Required):
- Develop and integrate electrical wiring interconnect systems (EWIS) for launch vehicles and spacecraft.
- Create and review schematics, wire diagrams, 3D CAD routing, 2D assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, integration) to meet project requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards for wire harnesses and aerospace applications.
- Participate in all stages of component and system design, manufacturing, testing, and integration.
- Present design, analysis, and testing results in design reviews to demonstrate project compliance.
- Contribute to the creation and improvement of internal design standards and continuous process enhancements.
- Make design decisions considering technical merit, risk, cost, schedule, and quality assurance.
