US - Culver City, United States; US - San Francisco, United StatesAPPLYScopely is looking for a Director, Senior Counsel, Litigation & Enforcement to join our Legal team in Culver City, CA or San Francisco, CA on a hybrid basis. This individual will be a part of the global Litigation function and report to Scopely’s VP, Product, Privacy & Litigation. Key responsibilities include managing global litigation, arbitration, disputes, and regulatory inquiries for consumer, intellectual property, and commercial matters. This role will also drive law enforcement response and IP enforcement strategy.What You Will Do• Shape and implement multifaceted litigation and arbitration strategies across jurisdictions and subject matters, balancing risk and business need, including on offensive litigation• Manage Scopely’s global litigation and disputes portfolio and regulatory response strategy• Drive internal discovery activities and subpoena responses, including e-discovery and fact-finding investigations, collaborating heavily with business and games teams leaders• Own all pre-litigation disputes, including with players• Identify opportunities to improve litigation processes and implement new and creative solutions to scale the function effectively• Advise senior leaders at Scopely in high-stakes litigation contexts• Collaborate with and manage outside litigation counsel across multiple international jurisdictionsWhat We’re Looking For**• 8+ years of combined relevant experience working with gaming, media, or other technology, with in-house gaming or consumer technology experience strongly preferred• A member in good standing of the California Bar or another bar association with the ability to register as in-house counsel in California• Broad complex litigation experience, with emphasis in consumer, intellectual property, and/or class actions and arbitration matters• Excellent judgment, discretion, and risk assessment• Strong and effective drafting skills• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships• Practical business acumen, driving pragmatic business-oriented solutions• A highly approachable, collegial, and collaborative style• Superb organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at oncePlease ensure that the résumé/CV you attach is written in English.
