About this role
LADACIN Network is a nonprofit founded in 1952 that serves more than 3,500 infants, children and adults with cerebral palsy and other physical and developmental disabilities at 14 locations in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, with headquarters in Wanamassa (Ocean Township). We are hiring Direct Support Professionals for our adult group homes on all shifts and will be meeting candidates at the Monmouth County Fall Job Fair on Sept 16 at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft.
What you will do:
- Care for adults with developmental and multiple physical disabilities in a group home
- Help with personal care, meals, mobility, transfers and daily routines
- Support residents in community activities, appointments and recreation
- Follow each resident's plan and document care
- Work as part of a small residential team across day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts
What we look for:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid New Jersey driver's license and at least 21 years old to drive residents
- Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred, not required; training is provided
- Patience, reliability and comfort with hands-on physical care
- Background check as required for working with adults with disabilities
Schedules and pay: full-time and part-time positions on all shifts, including evening and weekend-only options, at LADACIN residences throughout Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Pay is discussed at interview. Additional pay is provided for shifts between Friday 4pm and Monday 7am, and there is a sign-on bonus of $1,000 for full-time and $500 for part-time.
