ABOUT THE POSITION The Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District seeks a Park Attendant - Parks for Rancho Jurupa Park located in Riverside.The Park Attendant is responsible for ensuring a smooth check-in process for park guests at the kiosk, collecting fees, basic park custodial maintenance, providing information on park services, rules, and regulations. Competitive candidates will have strong experience in cash handling and Point of Sale (POS) systems, as well as customer service and conflict resolution skills. Experience with kiosk operations is a plus. Additionally, candidates with work experience in park or campground operations, Itinio Workspace software, and reservation systems are highly desired and strongly encouraged to apply.Work Schedule:

4/10 Saturday - Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. with Wednesday - Friday off - (Day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Working hours may vary depending on the Park District's needs).Work Location:**

The Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District is a nationally accredited agency who strives to be the regional leader in improving lives through people, parks, places, and programs. Their mission is to acquire, protect, develop, manage, and interpret for the inspiration, use, and enjoyment of all people, a well-balanced system of areas of outstanding scenic, recreational, and historic importance. EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES • Greets park visitors, and determines appropriate fees based on usage of park services; collects fees, issues receipts and permits, assigns visitors to various camping areas, and records all registration information.• Prepares daily reports of revenue and receipts, and park usage; prepares and delivers bank deposits as scheduled.• Answers inquiries and provides information on park services, rules, and regulations in person and over the phone; observes established procedures to ensure the safety and security of visitors including refusing entry to persons not conforming to regulations.• Assigns work and explains procedures to volunteers; provides assistance in emergency situations.• Routine restroom cleaning, campsite grounds and minor maintenance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EITHER I Experience: Six months of experience which involved collection of money, record keeping, and dealing with the public.OR IIExperience: Six months of experience performing clerical work directly related to parks operations.License: Possession of a valid California Driver's License is required. Incumbent is required to drive throughout park locations for site visits.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to work on their feet for extended periods of time. Lift and carry bundles of firewood and or office supplies. The incumbent will work inside and outside of buildings and may be exposed inclement weather including snow, sleet, and rain temperatures between 25 degrees and 115 degrees Fahrenheit . Will be exposed to dogs and wild animals such as snakes, coyotes, raccoons, bobcats, etc.Knowledge of**: Simple record keeping procedures and basic arithmetic.Ability to: Read, understand, and apply regulations pertaining to the use and operation of County parks; perform math computations quickly and accurately; keep accurate records according to prescribed procedures; explain regulations, policies, and procedures in a tactful and courteous manner; work independently.
