About this role
Role: IT Tech Support Technician Location: Fredrick, MD 21703 Duration: 6+ Months Pay Range: $22-$24/hr. Job Overview We are seeking an Infrastructure Delivery (ID) Network Technician to support deployment, maintenance, and expansion of network infrastructure within data centers. This role involves working with network hardware, cabling, server installations, and troubleshooting while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth data center operations. Responsibilities Monitor and manage project and support request queues Install, rack, cable, and configure network and server hardware Support deployment and maintenance of physical network infrastructure Troubleshoot network connectivity and hardware-related issues Follow change management, safety, and security procedures Coordinate with vendors and internal teams during project execution Provide regular project updates to stakeholders Maintain documentation and follow operational standards Assist with data center expansion and infrastructure upgrades Required Qualifications Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, Static IP) Knowledge of fiber optic cabling (single-mode and multi-mode) Basic understanding of servers, hardware, and IT systems Experience or knowledge of rack installation and cable management Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 40 lbs Reliable transportation Strong communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a data center environment Time management or project coordination skills Ability to manage timelines and prioritize tasks Strong work ethic and attention to detail Education Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field preferred The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid parking/public transportation, paid time off, paid sick and safe time, hours of paid vacation time, weeks of paid parental leave, and paid holidays annually – as applicable.
