• Accountability**About the roleThis is a ministry role at Christ Covenant, Below are expectations that this position will be responsible for and accountable for during each of the performance review cycles. This position is a full-time role, Sun-Thursday, responsible for effectively overseeing and running the Children’s Ministry on Sundays and other Covenant Kids events throughout the year.What you'll doSunday Ministry Prep**• Order/Prepare Sunday ministry supplies including digital tools, purchasing supplies for activities, printing rosters, coloring sheets, lesson plans, and items for games and crafts
• Coordinate with Covenant Kids Pastor on Curriculum and Lesson Plans.
• Coordinate midweek helpers (volunteers) to handle weekly administrative tasks like organization, game and craft prep, printing and preparing volunteer clipboards, with rosters, coloring sheets, activity sheets, lesson plans.**Volunteer Recruitment, Vetting & Discipleship**• Work alongside the Children’s Pastor to plan, implement the overall vision of Covenant Kids on Sundays and in Covenant Kids special events.
• Recruit, Encourage and provide Leadership Development for top female volunteer leaders in each age group to build disciple-making relationships with the children in this ministry, and to work special events within the ministry
• Manage the Planning Center Workflow for onboarding new female volunteers.
• Lead new volunteer trainings and train Covenant Kids lead team volunteers to lead new volunteer trainings.** Sunday Ministry Coordination**• Serve on Sunday mornings and/or evenings by leading and guiding volunteers, hosting pre-service meetings to cast vision, encourage, give announcements, and greet families at check-in.
• Ensure Sunday Ministry Operations run smoothly.**Staff Childcare **• Coordinate staff childcare sitters who watch children of staff members 3 days a week for half the day.
• Pay sitters monthly for their time**General**• Perform other duties as assigned
• Meet with children for discipleship, salvation, baptism conversations.
• Be a member in good standing with the church
• Manage relationship with staff, elders, and committees
• Ensure that all volunteers under management are performing in alignment with the goals and culture of Christ Covenant**Qualification**• Bachelor’s (B.A.) degree preferred
• Preferred at least 1 year of admin experience
• Understanding of and willingness to minister within the church’s statement of beliefs
• Character congruent with the biblical requirements for leaders (1 Tim. 3:1-13; 2 Tim. 2; Titus 1:5-9)PIcd66c98867b6-26172-39986837
