Apply for this jobCentury Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $35.00 to $38.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:• Prepare and record journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities
• Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and intercompany balances
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and calculate depreciation in accordance with accounting standards
• Process vendor invoices and customer payments, ensuring timely and accurate transactions
• Support audit processes by gathering documentation and addressing auditor inquiries
Requirements:
• At least 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related financial role
• Familiarity with GAAP and internal accounting policies and procedures
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment
• Prior experience assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping
• Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and external partners
• Capable of performing ad hoc financial analysis and generating management reports
• Comfortable collaborating with property management teams to ensure accurate reportingREF #51075
