About this role
Always Best Care Senior Services of Philadelphia, Lower Bucks and Delaware Counties and the Main Line is hiring Caregivers and Home Health Aides. We are a locally owned, award-winning home care agency with offices at 1172 S. Broad Street, Philadelphia and 668 Woodbourne Road, Langhorne. Our caregivers help seniors stay safe and independent in their own homes.
What you will do:
- Provide companionship and conversation, and keep clients engaged and safe
- Assist with personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting and mobility
- Prepare meals, do light housekeeping and laundry
- Provide medication reminders and follow the client care plan
- Escort clients to appointments and errands when needed
- Support clients living with dementia or Alzheimer's with patience and respect
- Report changes in client condition to the care coordination team
What we are looking for:
- Compassion, reliability and a genuine desire to care for older adults
- Experience caring for seniors (paid or family) is a plus; new caregivers with the right attitude are welcome and receive paid training
- CNA, HHA or Direct Care Worker certification is a plus but not required
- Ability to pass a Pennsylvania criminal background check and any required screenings
- Reliable transportation and the ability to get to client homes on time
- Ability to communicate clearly in English; additional languages are welcome
Schedules and pay:
- Full-time and part-time hourly shifts, live-in cases, days, evenings, overnights and weekends
