About this role
Comfort Keepers of Philadelphia, located at 333 E. City Avenue, 2 Bala Plaza, Bala Cynwyd, PA, has provided in-home senior care in the Greater Philadelphia area since 2000. We are family owned and operated and we are hiring full-time and part-time Caregivers to serve clients in Philadelphia, Bala Cynwyd, Northeast Philadelphia, Center City, Manayunk, Roxborough and more than 40 surrounding communities.
What you will do (Interactive Caregiving):
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities and conversation
- Assist with personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and transfers
- Prepare meals, do light housekeeping and laundry
- Provide medication reminders and follow the care plan
- Drive or escort clients to appointments, errands and social outings
- Provide specialized Alzheimer's and dementia care and support for veterans
- Communicate changes in condition to the office and family
What we look for:
- A compassionate disposition and genuine interest in helping seniors
- Reliability and punctuality; clients depend on you
- Ability to pass a background check (employment contingent on clearance)
- Reliable transportation to reach client homes
- Previous caregiving experience, CNA or HHA certification is a plus; we provide paid state and local regulatory compliance training
