About this role
ComForCare Home Care North Monmouth is an independently owned and operated franchise at 178 Avenue at the Commons, Suite 2, in Shrewsbury, NJ, led by owner Mike Durkin. We provide personal care, 24 hour care, dementia care, light housekeeping and companionship so seniors in northern Monmouth County can stay independent at home. We are hiring caregivers, Certified Home Health Aides and CNAs for full time and part time schedules.
What you will do:
- Help clients with bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility
- Prepare meals, handle light housekeeping and give medication reminders
- Provide companionship and engage clients living with dementia using our DementiaWise approach
- Accompany clients to appointments and errands
- Report changes in condition to the office and document each shift
What we look for:
- High school diploma or GED
- New Jersey CHHA or CNA certification preferred
- Access to reliable transportation
- Previous caregiving experience at home or in a senior community is a bonus
- Warmth, patience and a clean background check
Schedules and pay: flexible hours with full time and part time options. Pay is discussed at the interview. ComForCare provides excellent training, including the DementiaWise certified care program and Parkinson Pathway training, and treats caregivers like family.
We will be hiring at the Monmouth County Fall Job Fair on September 16 at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft.
