About this role
Comfort Keepers of Central Jersey is a locally owned in-home senior care office at 697 Broad Street in Shrewsbury, NJ, serving Monmouth County and northern Ocean County. We help seniors stay safe and independent at home, and we are hiring caregivers for part time and full time schedules. Experienced Certified Home Health Aides are welcome, and so are people just starting out: our sponsored CHHA training program covers 60 hours online plus 16 hours of in-person clinical work at no cost, with guaranteed placement on completion and a six month employment commitment.
What you will do:
- Provide personal care such as bathing, dressing and grooming
- Prepare nutritious meals and help with light housekeeping
- Give medication reminders and companionship
- Drive or accompany clients to appointments and errands
- Keep the care coordinator informed about how the client is doing
What we look for:
- At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
- Valid government photo ID and authorization to work in the U.S.
- Completed physical exam and a clean background check
- A driver license and reliable vehicle for client transportation
- Patience, warmth and dependability
Schedules and pay: flexible scheduling close to home with part time and full time options. Pay is discussed at the interview. Benefits include 401(k), medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, mileage reimbursement and an employee assistance plan.
We will be hiring at the Monmouth County Fall Job Fair on September 16 at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft.
