About this role
DescriptionWe are seeking a Service Advisor who is responsible for communicating with customers about their vehicle repair needs and relaying information to the Service Technicians. Their duties include greeting customers and helping them determine repairs and relevant costs, maintaining up-to-date knowledge about their employer’s range of services, and contacting customers to update them about their vehicle’s repair status.
A day in the life may include:
•Handling all customer service requests by preparing Repair Orders and entering orders into service database systems.
•Developing estimates by costing materials, supplies, labor, and fees, including calculating customer’s payments deductibles.
•Maintaining customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicles. Obtaining the customer’s approval of estimates.
•Verifying warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and submitting warranty pre-approvals with suppliers.
•Maintaining log records and corrective actions with notes of customer interaction either by telephone, email or in person.
Qualifications
To be successful in the role, you would have:
• 1-3 years of service advising experience.
• A desire to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong attention-to-detail.
