Schedule: Monday to Friday, between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager – Payroll & Accounting Operations to oversee payroll accounting, general ledger processes, and the financial close across multiple entities. This role is responsible for managing accounting operations, supervising accountants, and ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance.This is a hands-on leadership role focused on execution, process management, internal controls, and operational excellence, working closely with the Controller who oversees higher-level accounting strategy and technical matters. **Key Responsibilities

Payroll Accounting & Compliance• Oversee payroll completion and review across multiple entities

• Ensure accurate payroll general ledger postings

• Review payroll journal entries, allocations, and accruals

• Manage payroll tax registrations and compliance across jurisdictions

• Reconcile payroll-related accounts including wages payable, taxes, and benefits

• Maintain payroll controls, approvals, and documentation

• Coordinate with HR regarding employee changes, onboarding, and terminations

• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies

General Ledger & Financial Close• Manage month-end and year-end close processes

• Review journal entries and supporting documentation

• Review account reconciliations and maintain reconciliation standards

• Oversee intercompany accounting and multi-entity close workflows

• Perform general ledger review and maintain chart of accounts integrity

• Review financial statements prior to Controller review

• Monitor unusual balances and variances

Accounting Operations & Team Leadership• Manage and develop accountants and accounting personnel

• Assign and review work including journal entries and reconciliations

• Maintain close calendars and enforce deadlines

• Standardize processes and improve efficiency across entities

• Document accounting procedures and maintain SOPs

Internal Controls & Compliance• Strengthen payroll and accounting internal controls

• Maintain documentation supporting financial reporting

• Support audit preparation and information requests

• Assist with process improvement initiatives

• Ensure consistent accounting practices across entities

Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Experience managing accounting staff

• Strong general ledger and financial close experience

• Payroll accounting and payroll compliance experience required

• Multi-entity or multi-location experience strongly preferred

• Experience with QuickBooks Online required

• Advanced Excel skills

• Strong organizational and leadership skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Work ScheduleThis is a full-time position requiring a Monday through Friday schedule with working hours between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Flexibility within this window will be discussed upon hiring to balance operational needs and personal time. Benefits• 401(k)
