About this role

Responsible for the day-to-day execution of contract tasks for a basic technical project. Accountable to oversee results of small project teams and for client satisfaction at the end user level. Responsible for the administrative/operational leadership of a project within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer.+ Ensures that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.+ Maintains project/program management related documents including but not limited to contract status sheets. Creates, coordinates, and publishes new projects in response to delivery order receipt, and/or project/program updates.+ Supports strategic planning and development of recommendations for automation, process improvements and incorporation of new technologies.+ Monitors project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.+ Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.+ Functions collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, customer-oriented team and performs effectively as a member of a program team.+ May conduct performance/project analyses during phase-down to benefit future/other projects/missions/programs.+ Typically supervises one or two small scale projects. Responsible for assigned project revenue and cost.


Minimum Qualifications+ Bachelor's Degree in IT, Management or a related field. An Associate Degree with 5 years of experience may be substituted for the BA/BS or equivalent relevant experience.+ Working towards a PMP, CAPM a plus+ 4-6 years of experience; Entry level into Project Management; 0-2 years of management experience.


Other Job Specific Skills+ Excellent communication skills in working with technical and non-technical staff and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships among all levels of an organization and with customers.+ Experience interfacing with government customer to understand, interpret, and analyze requirements.+ Ability to manage and lead others.+ Strong organizational and time/task management skills.+ A polished, professional demeanor with good interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills.+ Understanding of contingency planning, disaster recovery, or continuity of operations (COOP) is highly desirable.+ Experience working on a government contract is a plus.+ Must be capable of working in an environment that is demanding, sometimes stressful and requires independent thinking, problem resolution and responsible actions with minimal direct oversight by senior management.+ Technical understanding for the project(s) assigned.


Compensation RangesCompensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASM's overall compensation and benefits package for employees.
