About this role

Job Title: Assembler Job Description As an Assembler, you will be responsible for debugging PCBs and electromechanical assemblies, assisting in root cause investigations, implementing corrective and preventative actions, and collaborating with engineers to improve manufacturing processes related to testing and yield increases. You will also be involved in developing, implementing, and participating in continuous improvement activities. Responsibilities + Debug PCBs and electromechanical assemblies. + Assist in root cause investigations. + Implement corrective and preventative actions. + Assist engineers in making corrections to manufacturing processes to improve test results and yield. + Develop, implement, and participate in continuous improvement activities. Essential Skills + Expertise in electronics and troubleshooting. + Proficient in precision soldering and crimping, IPC-compliant soldering, and crimping of electronic components, connectors, and cable assemblies. + Experience in military and federal manufacturing environments meeting high-reliability quality standards. + Hands-on experience with full box builds, sub-assemblies, and first-line production cable builds. + Skillful in the fabrication, routing, termination, and inspection of complex cable and wire harness assemblies. + Ability to accurately read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and work instructions. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Strong understanding of workmanship standards, documentation, and traceability requirements. + Quick to learn and apply company-specific technical language, processes, and documentation systems. + High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and mission-critical performance. + Associates degree in electronics, military or equivalent PCB experience. + Proficiency in interpreting schematics and customer drawings. + Experience in testing electro-mechanical assemblies and data analysis for root cause investigation. Work Environment The work environment is a small manufacturing facility operating one shift, starting between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM, concluding after 8 hours. Employees are part of a dedicated team ensuring high-quality production in a regulated and high-reliability setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cranston, RI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
