Join us.Job DescriptionElectrical InspectorJoin AECOM as an Electrical Inspector and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality construction projects. This role involves confirming compliance with project design and specifications, industry standards for electrical systems. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of electrical installations while collaborating with a team of professionals dedicated to excellence.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:•Monitor the installation of wiring, conduits, panels, lighting, and power systems to confirm proper execution•Oversee testing, commissioning, and energization of electrical systems•Conduct detailed inspections of electrical installations, materials, and equipment for adherence to contract specifications, codes, and safety standards•Coordinate with other inspectors and disciplines to resolve electrical system integration issues•Review contractor shop drawings and submittals to confirm alignment with project specifications•Identify, document and report non-conformances, coordinating with contractors and engineers to implement corrective actions•Conduct labor interviews to verify proper worker classification and wage compliance•Immediately notify contractors and relevant officials of any potentially life-threatening safety conditions•Maintain detailed inspection reports, logs, and records for quality assurance and compliance tracking•Oversee corrective actions for unacceptable construction work and support final inspections, punch lists, and project closeouts•Witness and document critical tests, such as pressure tests, leak tests, and system start-ups•Verify the quality of materials, workmanship, and equipment installations to confirm adherence to project specificationsQualificationsMinimum Requirements•HS + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education•Experience with local codes•Experience with construction methods and techniquesPreferred Requirements:•BA/BS in Construction, Electrical engineering or equivalent certification. Waived for eight (8) years of similar inspection role•OSHA 10-hour training certification•Certified Construction Quality Manager for Contractors (CQM-C) preferred•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software•Experience working with federal Project Management SystemsAdditional Information•Sponsorship is not available for this position•Relocation is not available for this positionOffered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
