Job Title: VP Geotechnical EngineeringJob DescriptionThe Vice President of Geotechnical Engineering serves as a key leader within the firm, overseeing client service, technical staff management, strategic planning, engineering processes, and project execution for the Division. This role ensures the highest standards in geotechnical engineering while promoting the Division's services both internally and externally.Responsibilities+ Manage, mentor, and lead staff within the Division.+ Deliver the company's purpose and vision to clients and staff.+ Uphold and enhance the technical reputation of the Division.+ Promote Division's services within the company and to potential clients.+ Oversee workload management of team members in the Division.+ Ensure Division efficiency in producing work products.+ Manage project risks related to technical aspects of the Division.+ Develop and enforce Business Practices and Quality Procedures specific to the Division.+ Manage Division costs within budget constraints.+ Set and uphold Division standards, ensuring projects meet those standards.+ Collaborate across departments to achieve company vision.+ Additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.Essential Skills+ Experience in managing staff members.+ Collaboration with diverse engineering disciplines.+ Understanding of current trends in the construction industry and technical discipline.+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.+ Proficiency in geotechnical engineering, materials testing, and materials engineering.+ Professional engineer certification.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent in non-engineering fields such as Geology, Surveying, or Construction/Project Management.+ A minimum of 15 years of experience in the design and construction industry.Work EnvironmentThe work environment prioritizes a healthy work-life balance, focusing on efficient, collaborative, and quality work. The atmosphere is business casual, friendly, respectful, and team-oriented with regular peer interactions. The position is primarily office-based, requiring frequent sitting, reaching, and manipulation of tools and controls. It requires mobility, including moving materials weighing up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally. Manual dexterity and coordination are crucial for operating equipment such as computer keyboards and calculators. Occasionally, duties may involve bending, reaching, standing, and walking.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Topeka, KS.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.00

- $53.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
